In the Business program, you will develop skills in critical thinking, decision-making, problem solving, and effective oral and written communication. With preparation in business analysis, management, professional sales, or entrepreneurship you will be able to launch a new business, or advance your career in the corporate, non-profit or government sectors.
When it comes to your career, training at HTC is good business. We currently offer two-year degrees in Business Analyst, Management, and Professional Sales (Business to Business). If you would like to take additional courses to develop your current job responsibilities, or are considering starting your own business, we also have certificates in Entrepreneurship, Management and Professional Sales. See the program links to the right for more information.
Labs and Classrooms
Our labs are built into the instructional delivery so there is practical training as well as theory delivery in the courses.
You should have a computer that has a web browser, high speed internet service, and Microsoft Office 2010. We offer courses online, face-to-face, and blended so you will need a computer to handle many of the requirements of the business courses.
All students are tested and assessed on basic skills such as reading, writing, and math. This, we believe, builds a solid foundation for coursework at the college level. Once you schedule your assessment, you will meet with a counselor to review your assessment results and then your major area is assigned. At that time you will enroll in your coursework and begin your journey to a new career.
The work environment is small class lecture and discussion as well as online. This allows for discussion on issues pertaining to the business curriculum. Another added feature to the program, students in similar majors are often taking the same courses each semester so this allows you to connect every semester with someone you know. This allows you the opportunity to develop classroom and online relationships that many times last for the duration of the lifetime of your professional career.

The Business program has an advisory committee of business professionals in the field of sales, business, and management. This committee reviews the coursework to ensure that the program is covering material needed to be marketable in your field of study. This allows the faculty to continue to offer current materials and technical skill development in each area.
