Course Description

This course introduces the student to transcription of medical reports. Emphasis will be placed on the use of transcription equipment, use of reference material, formats, and proofreading. The student will transcribe office notes, procedural notes, consultative and emergency service medical reports, history and physicals, operative notes, discharge summaries, and patient correspondence.
