Hennepin Technical College will host tours of the manufacturing programs at its campuses in Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie on Thursday, Oct. 25 as part of the “Dream It Do It” statewide tour of manufacturing.

“Highly skilled individuals are in demand in Minnesota’s manufacturing industry,” said Mike McGee, dean of manufacturing programs at HTC. “The tour offers a great way to learn about the many exciting career opportunities in manufacturing and how to prepare for them.” The tour will include demonstrations of high-tech manufacturing capabilities, with current students and faculty available to answer questions about classes and careers.

The events at both campuses will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the tour beginning at 6:15 p.m. Visitors are asked to wear closed-toe shoes.

The Eden Prairie campus will display Automation Robotics Engineering Technology, Fluid Power Engineering Technology, and Engineering CAD Technology.

The Brooklyn Park campus will offer Electronics Technology, Fluid Power Engineering Technology, Industrial Building Engineering and Maintenance, Machine Tool Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, and Welding and Metal Fabrication.
