About the Computer Labs
The Student Computer Lab is a great place for you to complete your assignments, check email, or just surf the Internet. Staff and work-study students are available to assist you. During peak hours, students completing coursework have priority over other computer users.

What  is needed to use the lab?
You will need your student ID card for all copying and printing.

Student Coursework
HTC students are expected to be familiar with the software for their classes while working in the student computer lab. The student computer lab staff is not responsible for knowing all software in the computer lab. If students have a specific problem with software use or assignments, they should discuss it with their instructor or obtain assistance in the Learning Resource Center.

The Learning Resource Centers (LRC) at each campus are available to assist with tutoring. See the “LRC Web Page” for room locations, hours and additional information.

Student email Accounts
Hennepin Technical College provides a "my.HennepinTech.edu" e-mail account to all HTC students. Accounts are free. If you would like to set up an email account, please see a lab assistant in the computer lab or go to MYHENNEPINTECH - HOME to set up your account and for additional information. Once the account is set up, you can access it from any computer that has Internet access. If you have questions, please call 763-488-2429 or 952-995-1528.

Student printing and copying
20¢ is placed on your ID card every day for printing and copying. Black and White print or copy costs 2¢ per page, per side for an 8.5 x11 page. Color print costs 10¢ per page, per side for an 8.5" x 11" page. You may also put personal money on your Student ID Card through a reverse ATM (located in the Student Computer Lab) for additional printing or copying.

There are multiple PC’s and MAC’s at each campus.
