Positions: Student Ambassador
Description: Serve as a new student orientation leader at new student orientation sessions. Manage the Student Life Center; assisting clubs and organizations, and student population. Lead campus tours and staff resource tables. Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of graduation and student life activities. Assist campus departments with activities. Be knowledgeable of all academic resources offered on each campus and know when to refer students in order to seek additional assistance. Work collaboratively with HTC staff, faculty, and other Student Ambassadors. Participate in Student Success Days. Attend all Student Ambassador training dates.
Qualifications: Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills. Ability to work accurately, independently and as part of a team. Ability to be flexible with work schedule. Good organizational, time management, and problem solving skills. All HTC students, including international students, who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Completed at least one semester at HTC are encouraged to apply.

Description: Work-study/student worker peer tutors will provide individual or small group tutoring to a variety of students, especially students with academic disadvantages. In addition, peer tutors will:  Keep electronic records (tutoring log) of material covered with each student  Update TRIO staff of student progress and/or missing tutoring sessions  Gain comprehensive understanding of the TRIO programs  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Must possess strong leadership qualities and ability to function as a team player.
