Description: Job Duties - This position will assist staffs of the TRIO office. Duties includes (1) word processing; filing; data entry; photocopying; scanning; collating; assembling and mailing materials; answering and making routine calls; and providing students, staff, community partners, faculty and administrators with general information on the TRIO programs; (2) Updating student information in database, (3) Gain comprehensive understanding of the Grant programs (4) Assist with Grant programs and events, including preparation and follow-up during scheduled work hours (5) Prepare and maintain supplies for activities, (6) Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: (1) Minimum GPA of 2.5 at HTC (cannot be on Academic Warning or Academic Probation) (2) Experience working with a diverse range of students and staff (3) Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (4) Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of duties (5) Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions which may involve policy and procedural interpretations (6) Ability to use discretion and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (7) Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision (8)Dependability and promptness

Description: -Greet visitors -Assist with maintaining a welcoming environment for veterans and those who support them -Assist with veterans benefits questions -Refer students to proper veterans resources -Respond to phone and email inquiries -Support activities of the VRC and Veterans Student Organization -Keep the center clean and organized
