Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS)

DARS is a self-directed, automated electronic tool used by students, advisors, and the graduation evaluator. It produces advising information illustrating a student's progress in fulfilling the graduation requirements of their degree, diploma or certificate. DARS will assist the student with the following:

  • Identifying all the requirements needed to complete a specific degree, diploma or certificate
  • Indicate which courses have already been completed, and how they apply
  • Specify which courses are needed to graduate
  • Assist the student and advisor with academic and career counseling

The DARS audit is designed to help the student identify and understand current academic requirements for program completion. The DARS audit is not a transcript. It is not intended to report student achievement to outside parties. Federal law prohibits transmission to a third party.

It is the responsibility of the student to complete all requirements for the selected program whether or not they have been identified on the Hennepin Tech DARS audit. Students are encouraged to review the college catalog or academic planning guide and report any inaccuracies found on the Hennepin Tech DARS audit to the academic advisor.

How to Obtain a DARS Audit (You must have a declared major):

  1. Go to e-Services
  2. Enter your StarID and password. Click on "Login"
  3. Click on "Academic Records" from the menu located at the left side of the screen
  4. Click on "Degree Audit", then select "Request a Degree Audit"
  5. Sign in to "Minnesota State" with your StarID and password
  6. uAchieve - Select a School - Hennepin Technical College, and choose "Continue"
  7. Request an Audit: You may choose either to Run Declared Programs, or Select a Different Program to run different audit scenarios
  8. Click on "View Audit" (from the View column on the right) to view your chosen major audit, or the MnTC audit, if desired
  9. Click on "Printer Friendly" if you wish to print your degree audit.
  10. Experiment with other features available to you. See the MinnState website for more info
  11. Click on "Logout" located on the upper right side of the eServices screen.
