July 17, 2019 -- Jason Kopp, chief information officer, Hennepin Technical College, has been appointed to serve on the Commission on Research, Data and Accountability for the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Kopp will serve a three year term.

The commission focuses on implementing policies and practices that promote rigor, transparency and accountability for results in community colleges. In addition, the group studies current trends to predict future directions for community colleges and produces research on timely issues.

Executive leaders from community colleges nationwide are appointed to AACC commissions. The organization has ten commissions which provide advice to the AACC board and staff.

“I am honored to serve on the commission and look forward to collaborating with community colleges leaders as we research effective ways to improve learning and student outcomes,” said Kopp.
