Workforce Scholarships

 

 

Hennepin Technical College Workforce Scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,500.  Scholarships are awarded to new students enrolling at Hennepin Technical College seeking an associates degree, diploma, or certificate in a high-demand fields of  Manufacturing and Engineering, Healthcare, Information Technology or Transportation.

Criteria

  • New HTC student (Not a current or past student)
  • Minnesota Resident
  • Enroll in at least nine credits for Fall semester 2020
  • Applied to HTC in a qualifying program (see list below) 
  • Pell eligible
  • PSEO and Concurrent students are eligible

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Step 1:  Apply for the scholarship by June 30, 2020 by 5 p.m. - Extended
However the will be to cycle awards:
    Cycle 1: Notification by June 1 (application received by May 18)
    Cycle 2: Notification by July 17 (applications received by June 30)
Step 2:  Apply to the college in a qualifying program and complete a financial application
Step 3:  Receive notification of scholarship award
Step 4:  Enroll in at least nine credits for Fall semester 2020
Step 5:
  Receive first semester scholarship funds (If selected)
Step 6:
  Complete at least nine credits with a 2.0 GPA or higher
Step 7:
  Receive second semester scholarship award

Scholarhsip funds shall be equally distributed between Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semester.
