Welding and Metal Fabrication


Welding is a part of industries such as manufacturing, petroleum, mining, shipbuilding, transportation, airlines, power plants, space and building construction. Welding may be done in the field (such as a construction site or pipeline) or in a plant. Many jobs require welders to be able to pass tests to demonstrate their skill.

A Manufacturing Engineering Technology A.A.S. degree with a specialization in Welding is also available. Please refer to the Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program for more information.

Students may continue their education and proceed towards a Bachelor of Manufacturing degree which prepares the student for supervisory and management positions.
