HTC Named Partner in Center for Excellence
Hennepin Technical College has been selected by Minnesota State Colleges and Universities as a partner in the Center for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence, a partnership with Minnesota State University, Mankato.

“HTC was chosen based on its reputation as a leader in providing quality training in manufacturing and engineering programs,” said Dr. Jerry Johnson, vice president of learning and academic innovation at HTC. He noted that many new engineering and manufacturing jobs require workers with higher skills and more education, a challenge the center will address. |

“The center is a collaborative effort, not only for training, but also for working with employers and industry leaders to give Minnesota a competitive edge in the global marketplace,” Johnson explained.
In addition to the Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie campuses of HTC, the other community and technical college partners for the Center for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence are Alexandria Technical College, Anoka Technical College, Normandale Community College, South Central College and the Northeast Higher Education District.
