Carpentry

Using skill and craftsmanship, carpenters construct, install, erect and repair structures to comply with all existing codes. They read blueprints, sketches, and specifications for information pertaining to dimensions, types of materials required, and standards of work. They work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment. They are required to work in a variety of conditions involving weather, heights, enclosed areas, and physically demanding situations. A carpenter is skilled in framing, forming, remodeling, and interior finishing of residential and commercial buildings.
