High School Students Admissions
High school students with demonstrated academic achievement and the maturity to succeed in a college environment may be admitted to Hennepin Technical College. Post-secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) programs are intended to promote a more rigorous curriculum and to provide a wider variety of options to public high school juniors and seniors. The post-secondary enrollment options program allows high school students the opportunity to earn college credits or to use those credits towards the completion of high school graduation requirements. Hennepin Technical College determines entrance in a program.
The PSEO program allows qualified high school students to attend Hennepin Technical College free of charge during the Fall and Spring semesters. Tuition, fees, and required textbook costs are paid by the Minnesota Department of Education. Courses numbered below 1000 (developmental level) are not covered by the PSEO program. Therefore, the student is responsible for payment of those courses.
The State of Minnesota does not authorize summer PSEO enrollment or payments. Therefore, if a student wishes to continue enrollment during the summer term all tuition, fees, and required textbook costs for summer courses are the student’s responsibility.
