POLICY STATEMENT
Hennepin Technical College, as a member of the Minnesota State College and University System, will comply with the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act. This will include all college-owned buildings, facilities and vehicles and also at off-campus training sites.
There are designated areas on campus where tobacco usage is permitted. Tobacco use is limited to these designated areas. The use of tobacco (smoking, chewing tobacco, etc.) is prohibited in all buildings at Hennepin Technical College.
Designated Smoking Areas:
Hennepin Technical College is committed to providing a clean air environment. Other than the designated areas identified, tobacco use will not be allowed. This will include all building entrances or exits. Signs will be posted to identify locations of the tobacco use areas.
Enforcement:
Enforcement of this policy is the responsibility and the right of all Hennepin Technical College staff, students, and community members. Hennepin Technical College will enforce the policy to its fullest, which may include, but is not limited to, disciplinary actions and/or sanctions.
