Smart Card Procedures
You will notice a gold “Smart Chip” on the front side of your
card-this is your “Smart Card”.
Replacement fee: Lost or stolen smart
cards should be reported to the Tuition Office immediately. There is
a fee of $10.00 to replace the Smart Card
Method for depositing money on Smart Card:
1. Reverse ATM machines will accept
cash only. There are two reverse ATM machines on campus which
are located near the Tuition Office and by the Cafeteria. The
reverse ATM will allow students to deposit cash and view the
balance of the Smart Card. The reverse ATM accepts $1’s, $5’s,
$10’s, and $20’s.
2. The Tuition Office will accept a
minimum of $20.00 by credit card or check only. A $20.00
service charge for all checks returned for non-sufficient funds
(NSF) or other reasons will be charged to the student’s account. A
hold will also placed on their Smart Card, as well as their HTC
account. The hold will be released upon payment of the NSF service
charge and the amount of the check.
3. Students may also place a check in the
drop box to be applied to their Smart Card. The amount will be
applied to their Smart Card within one business day.
Refunding the balance on the Smart Card:
If there is a $5.00 or more balance on the Smart Card, a refund can
be generated at the end of the school year (June) at the request of
the student. The refund will be mailed by check or direct deposited
into your account within fifteen calendar days
The owner of the Smart Card is required to be
present at time of purchase.
