Advising Week: During this week you will
meet with your advisor to plan course selection and monitor progress
toward graduation.
Faculty advisors provide assistance in planning a
program of study consistent with the students’ educational and
employment objectives. Faculty advisors assist students in selecting
courses, clarifying college policies and procedures, interpreting
graduation requirements, and overcoming barriers to their educational
success. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisor several
times each semester. All students with a declared major are encouraged
to meet with their faculty advisor during advising week. Students who
have not declared a major receive advising services from counselors.
You will need to bring the following information
to your advising session:
ADVISING TRANSCRIPT (ACADEMIC RECORD)
The advising transcript is a computer generated transcript for
students, which includes: the student’s HTC course history including,
transfers and test-outs, and assessment scores.
Link to HTC log-in.

Enter Student ID and PIN and if you want your
name to appear, click in the box labeled “Display My Name”.
Click on “Login Now”.

Click on the “Grades and Transcripts”
located at the top of the screen.

Click on “Academic Record” at the left
of the screen.

Click on one of the 3 options: Chronological,
Subject or General Education at the right of the screen.

Click on the “Print” icon on the menu
bar to print your record.

Click on “Logout” located on the upper
right side of the screen.

The scheduling worksheet is a tool to help students plan their
course schedule.

DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System)
DARS is a computer generated degree progress report for students. The
audit lists the college award requirements for the student and helps
the student plan and monitor progress toward graduation. Students can
obtain their DARS Audit online.
To obtain a Degree Audit Report (DARS), go to
www.hennepintech.edu then to
“My HTC Login” located at the top of the page.

Enter Student ID and PIN and if you want
your name to appear, click in the box labeled “Display My Name”.
Click on “Login Now”.

INTENT TO GRADUATE
Intent to Graduate forms should be submitted one semester prior to
graduating. Students will be considered for priority registration if
the form is submitted by the designated cut off date and they have 18
credits or less left to complete within their major.
