Online Registration Instructions
**In order to access information and process transactions online, a student MUST have the following information:
Student/Tech ID Number - An eight digit number that identifies you on the student record system. This number is found on your student ID card, transcript, class schedule or fee statement. This number will not change.
Password - This is your "electronic signature" and is preset to your birthdate in the format YYMMDD or the last six digits of your social security number.
The first time you log into HTC's online services, you will be prompted to change your password. Once you change your password. you MUST remember that number for future online transactions.
How to Register Online
1. Go to www.hennepintech.edu, then to "Online Services", and choose "Register Now".
2. Please read "Online Registration Agreement" carefully.
3. Click on one of the campus registration agreement links, or choose "I Do Not Agree" If you do not agree to the terms.
4. Enter Student ID and password, and, if you want your name to appear on your class schedule, click in the box labeled "Display My Name". Note: If you receive a prompt, "It is time to change your password!", follow the directions on the screen.
5. Click on "Courses and Registration" located at the left of the screen.
6. Click on "Find a Course" located at the left of the screen.
7. Under "Basic Search", choose the semester and subject of the course(s) you are looking for. Note: If "Display Open Courses Only" is checked, the system will only display courses with openings. Then, click on "Find Courses".
8. Once you find the course you want to register for, click on "Add to Cart".
Note: Adding a course to your cart neither registers you for, nor reserves a seat in the course.
9. Check the box located in front of the course title, and then click on "Register For Checked Courses", located at the bottom of the screen.
10. Preview your course, and if it looks correct, then click on "Register For These Courses", located at the bottom of the screen.
11. Confirm your course by entering your password and then click "Register".
12. Click on "View my entire semester schedule", to print your schedule.
How to Drop a Course, Change a
Grading Method
Or Change Variable Credits
1. Go to www.hennepintech.edu, then click on "e-Services", located in the upper right hand corner of the page.
2. Under "e-Services", choose either "Brooklyn Park Campus e-Services" or Eden Prairie Campus e-Services".
3. Enter Student ID and password, and if you want your name to appear on your class schedule, click in the box labeled "Display My Name". Click on "Login".
4. Click on "Courses and Registration" located at the left of the screen.
5. Click on "View/Modify Class Schedule" from the menu.
6. Click on "Red underlined course ID number" for the course you wish to modify.
7. Select from the drop down list either "Drop", "Change Grade Method", or "Change Variable Credits". Note: If you wish to drop a course you can just click on the "Process" button.
8. If you selected "Change Grade Method" or "Change Variable Credits" from the first drop down box, you must further define your request by modifying the choices in the "Grade Method" drop down box or enter variable credits in the "Variable Credits" field.
9. Enter password, click on "Process Request". Be sure the message indicates that your selection was successfully processed.
10. Click on "Logout" located on the upper right side of the screen.
How to Pay Online
1. Go to www.hennepintech.edu, then click on "e-Services" located in the upper right hand corner of the page.
2. Under "e-Services", choose either "Brooklyn Park Campus e-Services" or Eden Prairie Campus e-Services".
3. Enter Student ID and password, and if you want your name to appear on your class schedule, click in the box labeled "Display My Name". Click on "Login".
4. Select "Bills and Payment" located at the left of the screen. Tuition and fee charges are updated on your account immediately after you register for classes.
5. Select from the "Bills and Payment" menu to view/print your "Balance Due by Term", "Full Account Detail", or "Make a Payment". Payments can be made using credit or debit cards. Once you process your payment online, you can return to "Balance Due by Term" and see if the payment credited to your account. You can also print a statement of your charges and payments to keep for your records.
6. Click on "Logout" located on the upper right side of the screen.
How to Print Your Schedule Online
1. Go to www.hennepintech.edu, then click on "e-Serivces" located in the upper right hand corner of the page.
2. Under "e-Services", choose either "Brooklyn Park Campus e-Services" or Eden Prairie Campus e-Services".
3. Enter Student ID and password, and if you want your name to appear on your class schedule, click in the box labeled "Display My Name". Click on "Login".
4. Click on "Courses and Registration" located at the left of the screen.
5. Click on "View/Modify Class Schedule" from the menu.
6. Click on the "Print" icon on the menu bar to print your class schedule.
7. Click on "Logout" located on the upper right side of the screen.
How to Check Your Grades Online
1. Go to www.hennepintech.edu, then click on "e-Services" located in the upper right hand corner of the page.
2. Under "e-Services", choose either "Brooklyn Park Campus e-Services" or Eden Prairie Campus e-Services".
3. Enter Student ID and password, and if you want your name to appear on your class schedule, click in the box labeled "Display My Name". Click on "Login".
4. Click on "Grades and Transcripts" located on the left of the screen.
5. Select "Check Grades" from the menu. Verify the year/term that is displayed. If you wish to view grades from a different year/term, select it from the drop down list. Click on "continue". Your posted grades for the selected year/term will appear.
6. Click on the "Print" icon on the menu bar to print your class schedule.
7. Click on "Logout" located on the upper right side of the screen.
How to Obtain Your Academic Record
1. Go to www.hennepintech.edu, then click on "e-Services" located in the upper right hand corner of the page.
2. Under "e-Services", choose either "Brooklyn Park Campus e-Services" or Eden Prairie Campus e-Services".
3. Enter Student ID and password, and if you want your name to appear on your class schedule, click in the box labeled "Display My Name". Click on "Login".
4. Click on "Grades and Transcripts" located on the left of the screen.
5. Select "Academic Record" from the menu.
6. Click on one of the 3 options: "Chronological", "Subject" or "General Education".
7. Click on the "Print" icon on the menu bar to print your class schedule.
8. Click on "Logout" located on the upper right side of the screen.
How to Update Address/Phone Number/Email
1. Go to www.hennepintech.edu, then click on "e-Services" located in the upper right hand corner of the page.
2. Under "e-Services", choose either "Brooklyn Park Campus e-Services" or Eden Prairie Campus e-Services".
3. Enter Student ID and password, and if you want your name to appear on your class schedule, click in the box labeled "Display My Name". Click on "Login".
4. Click on "Account Management" located at the left of the screen.
5. Click on "Address Info" at the left of the screen.
6. Click on "Edit" at the bottom of the screen. Enter new information and click on "Submit".
7. Click on "Logout" located on the upper ride side of the screen.
