When Can I Register?

Summer/Fall Semester - 2008

Students will register for Summer/Fall Semester based on total number of cumulative credits earned*. An earned credit is defined as any course completed with a grade of A, B, C, D, or P. Test outs and transfers also count as completed courses. Courses taken in Spring 2008 will not be calculated in the total number of earned credits.

*Cumulative credits earned as displayed on the student academic transcript, not the advising transcript, which is used for advising purposes only.

Summer/Fall 2008 Registration Dates

March 14 Intent to Graduate Forms for students graduating Summer and Fall semester must be submitted to Registrar in order to be considered for priority registration.
April 7-11 Summer/Fall Advising Week—Advising for Summer and Fall semesters should be completed with faculty this week.
April 11 Last day to submit an Intent to Graduate form for Spring/Summer semester graduation and have your name included in the graduation program. Last day to submit a cap and gown order online for the Spring graduation ceremony.
April 15 College Preview Night at 6:30 p.m.
April 21 Summer/Fall Semester Registration Begins (see below for the time and date you can register)
  • 7 a.m. Summer/Fall semester graduates (must submit Intent to Graduate form by March 14 and have 18 or less credits left to complete award).
  • 10 a.m. 60+ credits earned
  • 1 p.m. 40+ credits earned
  • 4 p.m. 32+ credits earned

  • 10 a.m. 21+ credits earned
  • 1 p.m. 17+ credits earned
  • 4 p.m. 14+ credits earned

  • 7 a.m. 12+ credits earned

  • 1 p.m. 8+ credits earned
  • 4 p.m. 7+ credits earned

  • 7 a.m. 6+ credits earned
  • 10 a.m. 5+ credits earned
  • 1 p.m. 4+ credits earned
  • 4 p.m. 3+ credits earned

    April 25
  • 7 a.m. 2+ credits earned
  • 10 a.m. 1+ credits earned
  • 1 p.m. 0+ credits earned (students currently enrolled in 1st semester courses)

    April 28 7 a.m. New admitted students (completed the admissions intake process)

    2 p.m. Fall semester registration for new PSEO students

    Open Registration Begins
    Registration Hours: Monday-Thursday 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
    May 9 LAST DAY FOR STUDENTS TO WITHDRAW FROM SPRING SEMESTER COURSES
    May 15
  • Summer tuition is due.
  • All agency authorizations (including veterans) need to be at HTC
  • Financial aid must be finalized
    • May 16 Spring/Summer Graduation Ceremony at the Metrodome
    May 23 Spring semester ends
    May 27 Summer semester begins
    July 31
  • Fall tuition is due.
  • All agency authorizations (including veterans) need to be at HTC
  • Financial aid must be finalized
    • August 16 Summer semester ends
    August 25 Fall semester begins
    December 5 LAST DAY FOR STUDENTS TO WITHDRAW FROM FALL SEMESTER COURSES
    December 20 Fall semester ends
