They are also involved with mastering and duplication to several audio formats, including cassette, compact disk and emerging mediums. | Career Opportunities: | Typical entry-level positions are often competitive and may involve long hours. Candidates who strive to advance beyond entry-level status must show a great degree of creativity, motivation and persistence. Well developed interpersonal skills are a must for success. Entrepreneurism is alive and well in the audio field. Many engineers have secured permanent positions as a result of competent freelance work. Others have built their freelance work into successful businesses. Jobs exist in music and voice recording, location audio for video, corporate media production and live sound reinforcement. Many musicians/engineers specialize in advertising work, composing and recording exclusively for commercials and industrial clients.
