Mission Statement
We the students of Hennepin Technical College, Brooklyn Park
Campus, in order to establish a governing body to further scholastic
as well as social interests, to promote the growth and development of
the school, and to maintain school-community relations, do hereby
establish this constitution.

What is the Student Senate?
The HTC Student Senate is the voice of the student body in matters
affecting student activities. It exists to initiate consideration of
student problems and to communicate action or recommendation to the
designated school authorities.
Who can be a part of Student Senate?
Any full-time or part-time students of HTC taking one credit or more
and in good standing in their programs as defined by the HTC handbook.
How many meetings can we miss?
If a student misses three (3) meetings in a row they shall lose their
voting privileges until they attend two (2) consecutive meetings to
regain those privileges.
How do we join?
In order to be eligible to become a representative, students must
attend two (2) Consecutive Student Senate meetings within the current
semester. Meetings are held every Wednesday when school is in session
from 12:00-1:00 pm.
