Philosophy
The HTC Lab Preschool believes that children have the right to be cared for in a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment. Student teachers train at our site to master their hands-on skills as early childhood teachers. All staff work to guide the children's development by promoting social and problem solving skills to help them achieve future success in their academic education.

Details
The HTC Preschool offers a 4 day program (Monday-Thursday). We have an AM class (9:00-11:30 AM) and a PM class (12:30-3:00). Our classes are multi-age from 33 months to 5 years. We are licensed for 20 children in each class. Our teacher-child ratio is 1:6 or less. A typical daily schedule consists of an interest guided (structured and non-structured) activity time, circle time, bathroom and snack, and large motor time.

Activities
Our program emphasis is on building social relationships, academic readiness, and preliteracy skills. Our curriculum is planned around each individual's learning process by offering progressively challenging levels of activities. The HTC Lab Preschool program includes in-house field trips to various programs at the college, including bread baking with the Culinary Arts class. We do plan a few community area field trips throughout the year. We also have some evening events for the families to attend. Parent-teacher conferences are offered twice a year.

Registration
The HTC Lab Preschool runs September-May and enrollment is for the entire year. Placement is on-going as space permits. The HTC Lab Preschool charges a monthly tuition of $110, in addition to a one-time registration fee and an annual field trip/activity fee.
