Steps to Complete for Graduation Participation
- Submit your Application for Award by November 13
and the $20 processing fee to the Registration Office and meet all graduation eligibility requirements. - Sign up for the ceremony by ordering your cap and gown by November 13
on the HTC website. Late orders are being accepted (past Nov. 13) . There is no charge to order a cap and gown.
Please note: The deadline to have your name published in the graduation program is November 13. Please complete the steps above to make certain your name is included in the program. - Students who have ordered by November 13 may pickup their cap and gown at the campus they chose when ordering on Tuesday, December 1.

Important Dates for Fall Graduates
November 13 Graduation Application and Cap and Gown Ordering Deadline
Application for Award forms must be submitted to the Registration Office by November 13 in order for graduates to have their names included in the graduation program. All award requirements must be met to participate in the fall graduation ceremony. All course transfers and test-outs must be completed by November 13. Graduates are responsible for ordering their cap and gown online by November 13.
December 1 Cap and Gown Order Distribution Day
Students who have ordered by the November 13 deadline may pickup their cap and gown at the campus they designated when ordering on Tuesday, December 1 from 10am-6pm.

How do I know when I am ready to graduate?
You should meet with your program advisor (instructor) or a counselor to go over your transcript to see if you have met all the graduation requirements. If so, you should submit an Application for Award form with the $20 processing fee to the Registration Office. Your advisor or counselor need to sign off on this form indicating that they have met with you before you submit it. The Registrar will then inform you of your graduation status after reviewing your academic record
When will I receive my degree, diploma, or certificate?
If you have met all eligibility requirements and submitted an Application for Award form to the Registration office, your degree, diploma, or certificate will be mailed to you approximately 10 weeks after the conclusion of the semester.
Is there a deadline to apply for the fall graduation ceremony?
November 13 is the deadline for students to submit an Application for Award form to have their name included in the printed graduation program.
How do I order a cap and gown package?
Click on the “Order Cap and Gown” link at the top of this page. Students who want to participate in the graduation ceremony must order a cap and gown package. All cap and gown packages must be ordered by November 13 to guarantee on time delivery.
Do I have to pay for my cap and gown package?
Students may order their cap and gown package for free. The cost of the cap and gown and other graduation ceremony costs are paid for by the college.
What is included in my cap and gown package?
Cap, gown, tassel, 10-pack of generic announcements, and graduation ceremony details will be included in your cap and gown package. If you are a PTK member, you will also receive your PTK stole. If you are graduating with honors (3.5 GPA and above), you will receive an honors medallion. GPA is calculated using all the courses you have taken through the end of summer term. Fall semester grades cannot be included in the calculation since grades are not received until after the semester is over.

How do I insure that my name will be printed in the graduation program?
In order to have your name printed in the graduation program, you must submit your Application for Award form and processing fee to the Registration Office by November 13.
Do my guests need tickets?
Tickets are not needed. Due to space limitations, guest seating in the auditorium will be on a first come, first serve basis. Additional guest seating will be available in the student lounge where a video feed from the auditorium will be setup. If your guests would like to be seated in the auditorium, please ask them to arrive
